Natural lemon oil can be safely used lemon essential oil by diffusing it or applying it topically. To diffuse lemon essential oil, place a few drops in the diffuser. Ensure that you are in a well-ventilated space and limit your aromatherapy sessions to 30 minutes.
To use lemon essential oil topically, dilute it well with a carrier oil(jojoba, sesame, almond etc.) of your choice. Examine the mixture on a small, unobtrusive area of your skin before applying it somewhere sensitive, like your face. If after 24 hours you observe irritation, don't use the mixture. To avoid skin damage, you must wash off the lemon oil before exposing your skin to sunlight.
